Cash-Wa Kearney

In May of 1992, we moved operations to a new 92,000 square foot warehouse that was designed to increase operating efficiency and minimize costs, using state of the art technology.

In October of 1998, an 83,000 square foot addition was completed, featuring more freezer and cooler space, offices and a "Learning Center" for continuing education for all CWD employees.

This 21st century facility has five distinct temperature zones in the cooler and two in the freezer.  Taking this extra step helps ensure that products are received and shipped under optimal conditions.

We didn't stop there, unlike some in the distribution business, even the Cash-Wa dock is refrigerated! Whats more, because sanitation is a Cash-Wa priority, we meet or exceed the rigid guidelines of the AIB making our operation among the cleanest in the industry.

 

2009 Freezer Addition

The Kearney Nebraska distribution center expanded November 2009 when the 71,300 sq ft frozen food warehouse and truck terminal was added to the Cash-Wa Campus just west of the existing 92,000 sq ft Headquarters DC. The new "freezer" provides space for more products and is designed to incorporate the latest technology for managing material flow and simultaneously reducing order errors and handling costs.  The 40-foot-tall freezer also incorporates state-of-the-art refrigeration and control technology.

The fully refrigerated staging and loading area serves 16 docking stations each designed to completely seal against trailers so that refrigerated trucks open only into refrigerated space thereby enhancing food safety and ensuring the preservation of the ever important "cold chain".  Cash-Wa customers can expect to see improvements in service levels and product availability as a result of the many improvements in logistics and infrastructure that come along with this substantial new addition.
